Activity - Greenhouse construction

There will be built two polycarbonate greenhouses nearby Dyk’s tree nurseries located 2.5 km northwest of Křtiny. One of them has dimensions of 6 x 3 m and the second one measures 5 x 8 m. Smaller polycarbonate greenhouse will be used for the cultivation of endangered herbs by generative or vegetative propagation. Bigger polycarbonate greenhouse (6 x 3 m) will be used for the cultivation of endangered woody plant species.

Polycarbonate greenhouses are unified products that are supplied as a kit (prefabricated). They are placed on pre-treated surface and are anchored into concrete foundations to secure proper functionality and durability. An implementation of  irrigation, misting and drainage systems is needed to ensure suitable conditions for growing plants in greenhouses The irrigation and misting systems will be connected to already existing irrigation installed in the nursery. With this in mind, there will be used similar prefabricated parts, to those implemented in existing irrigation. Irrigation pipes and watering system must be placed in a frost-free depth in a sand bed. In addition, there will be drainage system in greenhouses to drain the excess water into the collection pit, to be re-used for watering. For its construction there will be used perforated drainage pipe, that will be placed in the drainage bed of gravel and macadam.
